Hello all,

Over the past few days I have been working on streaming on twitch. I've watched numerous videos on how to set up OBS, and Ive done that. Ive done an upload and download test. The numbers are not good. But while trying to stream, the game play in BF4 is VERY laggy and I rubber band a lot, and the video stream on twitch is also laggy. I've also noticed on OBS that while streaming I get Warning: Taking to long to encode.

my upload is 5.1 and download is 833
Rig setup:
Windows 7 pro 64
Ram 8gb
AMD Phenom II Black Edition x4 935 3.4 GHz (no its not overclocked)
Nvidia 550 ti ( prob some of the issue)
I have a sapphire HD 7850, but don't have a video cord for it. Would this work better if I get a cord?

if there is other information you need to help, please let me know.

thank you for the help

Tip: On the internet, forum sticky posts (the ones at the top) usually have useful information that may help your current difficulties. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7144

That said, BF4 is probably too much for your computer to handle with that video card and CPU at any setting.

If you're getting high ping, that means your stream and the game are competing too much for your internet connection. First try enabling "Minimize Network Impact" in Broadcast Settings, and if that still doesn't help, try lowering the bit rate that you are streaming at.

Also, you're going to want to downscale to at least 480p, or maybe 360p...at that low of a bit rate, you can't really stream at 720p at decent quality.
