Hey guys,

I have been streaming for a couple of weeks with this setup and it has been working fine, but I have been using the setup with the USB from my Astro Mixamp plugged in to my laptop. This works fine, but I was told by someone who watched my stream that the voice audio quality is better when you use the stream port instead of the USB. I played around with it for a while and thought I had it working, but tonight when I was streaming the viewers could hear the game sound and the other players in my party chat, but not me. I tried it with voice coming from headset only as well as through both speakers and headset. I ended up switching back to the USB setup, but if anyone sees something that I have done incorrectly that knows how the setting should be in OBS I would appreciate the help.

Thanks

You should probably post a log file. How many audio inputs are you using? That's one of the things I'd like to know that would be in the log file for example.

I thought I did post a log file. It must not have worked properly, sorry about that. Anyway, I think I found the issue. My laptop has a combo jack that I connected the Mixamp to and I was using a regular 3.5mm audio cable when the laptop requires a 4 conducter/3 ring 3.5mm cable. So I am picking one up today and that will hopefully solve the issue. Thanks for the reply.

In case anyone else reads this and has the same issue, I found the solution. If you have a combo jack on you laptop or PC you have to get a 3.5mm 4 conductor male to 2 x 3 conductor female adapter, and connect the stream port from your mixamp to the mic input on the adapter using a standard 3.5mm 3 conductor audio cable, such as the one provided with the Astros.
