OK so I have an ssd drive and a normal main HDD the ssd contains OS and not much else where as my main contains all my games etc mods the majority. But is not the best HDD out and is a bit old. I know recording to either the HDD your games are on or OS takes a performance hit but I was wondering in my case which would give the best performance the ssd drive w OS or my main which I run my games off of. Thanks

Your SSD would give the best performance but I would highly recommend your HDD as it won't slow down the whole of your PC when you begin to record. It also depends on thw read / write speed of your HDD.

If you're just recording a stream, you won't be writing very fast to your hard drive, relatively speaking. You'll be able to record wherever you want.

If you're making a higher-quality recording, there probably still isn't much to worry about. Can you not just experiment with both and figure out if there's any difference?
