Question / Help [HELP] Streaming Quality Settings! 2.5 Upload?

Hello, I have been wanting and tried to stream multiple times, its never been succesful. I would like to stream at 720p w/ 30 FPS. I have decent PC specs.: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2jTxZ As well as my internet speed: http://www.speedtest.net/result/3164057505.png ! So I am wondering what setting I put, I honestly have no idea whatsoever so the more indepth the better! Currently I put it at 2000 bitrate, then 720p downscale, but I think I'm doing something wrong with the other settings. I plan to stream League of Legends as well as Minecraft.

What do u mean by "never been succesful"? Drop frames, Lag?

Yeah, I've always started to get bad quality, I'm pretty sure if I change up my quality setting I can find a sweet spot! I also meant that no one joined, But I know that's just because I'm new.

A few things. First, meet the Twitch broadcasting requirements at http://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/a ... quirements

- Your audio bitrate is excessive. Twitch calls for 160 Kbps or less, and 128 Kbps should be more than enough.
- Change your keyframe interval to 2 seconds and your Profile from High to Main under Settings > Advanced.

You aren't going to have a very good looking 1080p stream using 2 Mbps unless you're streaming lower motion content like SC2 or LoL and that's all there is to it. Even then, there's going to be some compression artifacts when a lot is going on. Downscale to 1536x864 (1.25) or 1280x720 (1.50) under Settings > Video for better overall results, especially if you're streaming higher motion content like first person shooters. When downscaling, experiment with the filtering options there to see which one you prefer. If things look "really ugly" then you may have some unrealistic expectations for your stream quality, but you're free to link recordings here so we can see if something else might be wrong.

While downscaling, if a particular game isn't pushing your CPU very hard you can try changing the preset to faster or even fast for better compression, but if you experience performance issues or get "Encoding taking too long" warnings in OBS, revert to veryfast.
