Also-also, don't expect much out of an i3. They're not as bad as an AMD APU, but there's a reason they carry a bargain-basement price tag.

Uh, doesn't really matter, man. Gaming load or not, calling an i3 'anemic' is being generous. But give it a shot, absolutely! Just may have to crank resolution and/or framerate down if it starts skipping/duplicating frames.

I have a similar i3 in my laptop, I would personally recommend to use QuickSync if your laptop supports it.
