Question / Help Help setting OBS for ReplayBuffer only

Hello!

I'm writing in this forum as last resort since I searched everywhere else for a solution and I'm not quiet convinced with those I found.

First of all I want to use OBS only for ReplayBuffer, I have no intent to stream or do local recordings and I wish to have my gameplays at 1080p60.

I know that my PC isn't am NASA one but also isn't a potato but using x264 encoder just makes the game laggy and choppy so I prefer to use HEVC as I'm getting much better results, however in some areas I noticed as if the gameplay was recorded as ~45fps

PC Specs:
Ryzen 5 2600 3.40Ghz
Radeon RX 580 4GB
16GB DDR4 3000Mhz
SSD 500GB (OS)
HDD 1TB (Games and record files)

OBS Settings:
I found this settings in Youtube and so far they are doing the job better than any other setting getting a balance between quality/performance in-game

Hopefully, you can help me. I'm using a GTX 960 GPU, which is specified/advertised as an H.265 Compatible GPU. However, within the OBS 'Output' Settings, I can only see 'x264' and 'Hardware NVENC' Recording Encoder drop down box selections/options. However, within the 'Output' Settings, when I switch the 'Output Mode' from 'Simple' to 'Advanced' and select the 'Recording' Tab, I can still NOT see H.265 or HEVC - I can only see x264 and NVIDIA NVENC Encoder drop down box selections/options. It appears that either OBS is NOT recognising my Nvidia GTX 960 GPU's H.265/HEVC capability. As I have selected 'Indistinguisable' for my 'Output' Recording Quality, the files have excellent image quality, but the output video files are huge, which is why I am trying to record in H.265 - I have also used Acrok Video Converter Ultimate to convert my OBS H.264 output files to H.265, but the resulting H.265 files are terrible video quality and the conversion process takes 3.5 minutes per minute of recorded H.264 video file. Any tips and advise that you can give me would be VERY much appreciated. Cheers Brian (London, UK)
