Hello guys!

I ask your help because i record some videos of a RTS game in multiplayer, 0ad, and all my videos are laggy as hell!

this is my configuration:
Asusx93s
CPU: Intel Pentium B970 , 2.3GHz
Memory: 4GB
HDD: 1TB
OS: windows 7
Graphic card: nvidia GeForce GT630M

Here are OBS setting i use when i record:
encoding: x264
buffer:1000
bitrate max: 1000
CODEC: AAC
bitrate: 128
form:48 Khz
resolution: 1920x1080 , but i reduced it to 1280x720
filter: bilinear(fast)
FPS:30
Aero: not enabled

To see the lag: you can find a video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC-LJK5no94 Check about the 18th minute

Is it possible to stop the lag? how to? Does this problem come from my computer? or from obs settings? or from something else?

Thanks for your help, i'm really desperate -_-

you might try NVENC or Quicksync for local record. also, enable aero will help as well.

dping: thanks for fast answering ! :)

What are NVENCE and Quicksync? from what google says NVENCE is a nvidia stuff, but i dont understand what exactly.
About quicksync, i understand that it is an encoding/decoding stuff. Is it something as DirectX ?

*Consider that i'm an absolute noob at comp science* ;/

About aero,it is said in setting that this aero is really not advised for windows7 (that i use)

Aero helps accelerate the graphics (or game) capture and is what OBS uses to do so. If disabled, often what will happen is a drop in streaming frames per second or stuttering.

NVENC, quicksync, and VCE are different vendors using hardware encoders via the GPU. hardware encoders will very often lighten the load from the CPU. think of x264 as software encoding, which uses up cpu% on each core.
the only issue with hardware encoders is you often lose quality at lower bitrates compared to x264, but the benefit is with the lower CPU usage.

hey dude!

i looked for quicksync, also checked on my BIOS if multi-monitor was enabled, but unfortunately, my BIOS doesnt mention any graphic features. it seems that i wont be able to use it.

About Nvence, i looked for some "how to" and differet" tuto, but didnt find anything usefull. if you have one, it's welcome ! :D

Thanks for your answers.

Here is the feedback thread. a little old, a little long but you can get an idea of how it was and is used...

Yeah for some reason, I thought you would have quicksync with your GPU and was wrong.
