Help! I can't find a way to make the composite blur filter work on my background

I need urgent help. I ask you to speak in a simple manner. I installed OBS on my new PC and I also downloaded the composite blur filter. The problem is that each time I invert the mask, the background isn't blurred, especially when I select "image". Could someone explain why does this happens and how to fix it?
