Question / Help Help for streaming configuration.

Hi. I would stream from my laptop i7 4710hq- gtx860m- 16gb ram no ssd and gaming from my PC. I'm asking for some help to understand what i need to connect lap-top and desktop and make it run best. My knowledge by now is that i need something like Avermedia LIve Gamer portable or elgato.
First of all are laptop + desktop+ gamer capture all I need? Or i need something more?

Then i see around this forum that is suggested to use USB 3.0 for connections but elgato and avermedia have USB 2.0. Do you know a capture device with USB 3.0?

if your desktop doesnt have usb-3 then its not going to be worth while as the usb2 is slow and cant relay as much info causing the recording to suffer
 
Thx George. My desktop and laptop also have usb-3 but i wonder that capture devices i saw are only with 2.0 usb. Is that a problem if yes there are capture devices with usb-3?
 
Your original post isn't very clear about what you're trying to do. You state that you want to stream both from the laptop and the desktop. Why are you trying to connect them? Do you mean that you want to use a 2PC setup, with one of the computers doing all of the streaming? What are your desktop's specs?

English is not my native language so i can do some mess up.
Yes i want to do a 2pc setup: streaming with lap top and playng on desktop. Desktop's specs (to assemble) are:asrock z97 extreme4, i5 4690k/i74790k (what do you suggest considering an upload speed of 2.Mbps?), asus trix gtx970, 16gb ram.
I don't know anything about the topic, i start from scratch. One thing i think it's important to say is that i can stream only at 720p because i can use 2.2/2.5 Mbps upload.
I really searched around internet for some desktop to laptop setup, but it's not easy to find something clear.

Honestly I would suggest putting the money towards a 4790K and skipping the 2PC setup altogether. The desktop will be more than capable of streamin, 720p30 on the medium preset should work fine for almost everything.

Yeah that was the first idea i had got, and it's the best to me because of overall costs and ease of use, to me, than the 2pc config. I'm going to streaming especially Arma3 and Dayz, in your opinion I go smooth with the configuration above (1pc only)? I ask you because,as you know, many People use 2pc configuration to streaming this kind of games due to their specifics. Thx
 
Hello guys. I resume this post because I need an answer to the original question. I need to move the streaming (streaming on Twitch) weight from my desktop to my laptop, so I can use PC Desktop only to play.
First thing first can you help me to understand if my laptop can do this work? This is the model http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/N551JM/specifications/ ; and those are the main specs: i7 4710hq- gtx860m- 16gb ram
Can you please tell me what i need to create the audio/video "bridge" from PC desktop to laptop?
