Question / Help Help for 1080p stream

Hi,

I am not a new OBS user but before the last month, my computer wasn't good enough to stream in a high-quality.

Now I have :
And now, I am looking for some help to setup my stream in 1080p and, if possible, 60fps.

Do I have to buy an external graphic card only for capture and stream from another computer? Can I do it with what I already have?

The only guide I used was the one from Hitbox/Twitch (I am now on Hitbox only) and I read some topics here but not really sure about what I have to change!

If you have THE thread for me, I can take it too, maybe I missed it!

First - 1080p 60FPS is extreme. Your CPU will not be able to handle it in modern games, but something like LoL or Hearhstone - thats possible.
Second - 1080p 60FPS needs a higher bandwith to look fine, ususally more that twitch will give us.

Think more about 720p 60FPS or 1080p 30 FPS, that depends on your upload. If you go up to 3500, 1080p will look fine (not great!). Thats the same problem that i have right now, twitch starts to lag if i go over 4k.

cryonix you seem to know about these things, i got max bitrate 2300 and buffer size 4000
i have 720p with 60fps when i stream i disable aero, its just that my viewers sometimes lags, i tried to look on my other computer for my stream i lagged a little too but on my phone with its own network i had 0 lag and even a perfect streaming view. do you know what i should do? for my other streamers? my x264 CPU Preset is faster not veryfast.

check my thread if you wonder something more thanks for the help!

Thx for your answer.

I know 1080p and 60FPS is extreme for my computer, but if I wanted to do it, what should I buy and add to my computer?
About the bandwith, it's why I am not streaming on twitch, I prefer Hitbox (and I don't have 20sec delay with the chat).

So I want to go to 720p and 60FPS, I'll try some settings and come back to the topic.

Dude, it's not disturbing, I'll check your topic too, maybe it'll help me to setup the stream and finalize it with Cryonic

If you want to get 1080p 60FPS, lower your CPU preset first, raise the bandwith after it till you are happy with the quality. Hitbox can handle way higher bandwith than twitch, but remember that not anyone got 100mbit/s or more, some people are stuck with 6k or lower.

Well so far your thread looks good. Same advice, set your bandwith and buffer to the same size and do minor adjustments, should be fine.
