Hi!

short & sweet;

i5 3570k overclocked / 7-8 megabite upload etc

streaming on twitch

I've fiddled around with this program now (fully up to date) for a few days now. I've watched loads of videos, seen loads of threads, nothing is helping. Tried a lot of trial + error today and I'm still confused. My stream is choppy for viewers.

* I have 0 dropped frames
* I have no bandwith limit from my provider (no one else in house using net either)
* I've tried 1000-3500 upload
* I've tried changing servers
* toyed around with different variations with CBR on and off, and also with x264. x264 seems to work better always. Low quality balance makes it worse (ironically?)
* have custom buffer size also between 1000-3500 (3500 seems always less choppy)
* played with 20-60 fps, my game (wow) runs smoothly regardless and I have no dropped frames but it's incredibly choppy (better with higher fps)
* I have resolution downscaled to 3.0 to 640x360 (downscale makes it better it seems)

I've tried swapping loads of settings in and out, tried other peoples settings from youtube, etc

the funny thing is when I use xsplits free software I can stream in 720p with it and it runs fine, no choppiness, but I don't want to use xsplit (for the same reasons you're all probably here)

so it must be OBS! anyone have any ideas? cause I'm really out atm

any help is greatly appreciated, thanks <3
