Hello, I have a 22in monitor its call the acer x221w. Recommended resolution is 1680x1050 16:10 ratio. My resolution in obs is 1920x1080 on 60FPS.

Here is a screenshot of the black bars in-game: https://gyazo.com/7edf9621d910ca7706486248eacfba2f
since your monitor resolution is 16:10 (1680x1050) your games will run at that native resolution. 1920x1080p is best since twitch and youtube will try and enforce this ratio. understand the only way you can get a 16;9 resolution with your capture is to:

1. run the game at a 16:9 aspect or
2. set your game capture properties to stretch image to screen (will look odd)

Hello,

Thanks dping! I came back to this thread as I learned that its the resolution your monitor is set to that matters. Not whats in OBS..(well it does in obs as well) but the bars come from using a monitor that is 16:10. So even if you set obs as 16:9 native, you will have bars still, unless you change your monitor to use a 16:9 resolution in the game you are playing.

Its not about your monitor or even the desktop resolution. its about what resolution your game runs at in the end. Also, note that please try and not hijack other's threads. I know you mean well but this is OPs thread to comment on so that way your issue doesn't get mixed up with his.
