Question / Help Having twitch lag issues with elgato/obs setup?

Whenever I stream with my elgato caputre HD people/even when I watch get major lag issues.
My specs and what not:

18/25mb upload
i7
gtx 970

OBS settings:
Encoding: x264
use cbr/use cbr padding on
bitrate 2k
Audio - defaults

Video:
1920/1080
Bilinear
30fps

Advance:
Use multi on
sceen buffering 400
allow other modifiers on hotkeys on

very fast
main
2
latency tuning 20

elgato settings within obs
custom res 1280/720 30fps
set to the same within config too.

First, post your logfile of at least 5 minutes where you had the lag happen

Second, set scene buffering to 700ms or more

your source video is 720@30 yet you stream at 1080@30. lower your stream to 720@30 or raise your elgato to 1080@30.

Second, increase scene buffering to 700ms

Might enable CFR (constant frame rate)

Thank you, I'm also having issues with people watching stream unless I go down to 850 bitrate but my upload is a lot higher?

Not alot can be done on your side about that. I would say just keep streaming. lower your downscale to 720@30, that would be the best way to keep compatability and then bitrate to 1500-2000.
