Question / Help Having some last minute audio problems with dedicated streaming PC, can someone walk me through it?

It just seems like I have problem after problem when it comes to my audio. I will explain with a lot of detail in bullets to help comprehension. I am not having a problem with OBS itself just wire routing/audio software.

Hardware:
- A 3.5mm jack headset with 2 jacks, one for audio and a mic.
- A gaming PC (of course)
- Dedicated streaming rig
- AverMedia Live Gamer HD

Setup:
- Dual link DVIs to dual monitors from my gaming GPU
- HDMI from streaming PC GPU to second monitor (I only have 2 monitors total, gaming PC runs on both and streaming PC runs on secondary only)
- HDMI from gaming GPU to Capture Card in Streaming PC
- Audio setups explained below

Audio (problems and solutions that failed)
- Y-splitters - This caused my headphones to play in Mono, and mic was only static - I can't use this method with these problems
- One on Streaming PC Input (accepting mic from headset and headphones out from Gaming PC)
- One on the Mic on my headset (to send my mic signal to Streaming PC and Gaming PC)
- One on Gaming PC output (to go to headphones and streaming PC)

- Voicemeeter - Caused about a half second delay to all audio - Cannot use this
- Changed Voicemeeter to default playback device on Gaming PC
- In Voicemeeter, set audio output to the headphone jack and the HDMI port in order to clone audio to send it to streaming PC
- Voicemeeter application must be running for audio to work with this method. This is not a problem but it is being noted.

I hope this is enough info as well as not too much info to sift through for anyone who is going to help me. I am also receiving help from other forums so if I find a solution I will post back here.

I have changed some settings on Voicemeeter and it has significantly lessened my audio lag. The only problem that I have right now is that the lag still exists. Is there anyway I can use another kind of software like Voicemeeter that will not create audio lag or another way around this problem?

What do you mean with "lag"?

A dual PC setup with a capture card will have some delay issues, but should not lag at all. And delay can be fixed in OBS.

The lag that I am referring to is the time something happens onscreen (not onstream, the stream is synched), I hear it just a moment later. This did not happen when I just outputted through my motherboard, but when I output through Voicemeeter there is a small moment of time before I hear the sound of what is happening onscreen.

To clarify again, I am not talking about the stream and I am only referring to my own senses. The actual stream works perfectly.
