Question / Help Having a problem with OBS not catching my microphone on Xbox360

Hello, first time forum user here. As the title says, I'm streaming Xbox 360 gameplay to OBS using a capture card, and while it captures the game play audio fine, it won't pick up on my Xbox 360 microphone in party chat. Is it maybe due to the type of microphone I'm using? Any help would be appreciated, please and thank you.

You will need a separate mic hooked up to the computer running OBS in order to pick up your voice in OBS.

The reason why OBS will never pick up your 360 microphone is because its connected to your 360. You capture card will only pick up audio that is being outputted. You mic is not. If it did, then you would hear it. Might want to research on how capture cards work.
