Hey,
So I got an issue with streaming sound. Now I stream with my gaming pc and a ps4, im not a fan of streaming off the ps4's twitch service the signal seems to drop frames a lot. So I rather use a capture card and feed it to my OBS to stream off of that. But here is the problem. When I stream from the ps4 to a capture card it is taking my sound, which is good, but if i put on a headset or earphones to use the chat it sucks the sound from the capture card and I get no sound for the stream.

Right now as it goes, I have my headset plugged into my pc, and running of the sound from the feed, with delay of course, and now means to chat using the pc.

I get sound from the tv but id like to get my sound from headset with no sound delay, am I just going to have to use google chat for chat and make do with delayed sound?

Most people I see use a webcam with either built-in mic or a secondary mic to get the streamers voice.

cap cards will only get audio that would normally come out of a TV, to which, without the cap card, the TV would never replay your voice back to you right?

Second step is to sync your voice. That will take a mic audio offset of however long it takes to get your game to the PC, usually 700ms to 1500ms, the same delay will need to be added to the cam if you do this.

Exactly the cap card only takes the sound from the Ps4. So If a use the wireless headset it routes the sound away from the cap card.

Ideally what im trying to do is, capture my ps4 feed through obc, which is done, and be able to hear actual game play audio from the tv live as i play. Not through the obs capture feed.

If I have my headset plugged into the pc with mic, the sync is right on point. but i have to mute the sound coming from the pc feed so i can hear the sound from the tv. Hopefully that makes a little more sense.

That will sound like crap though. Just sayin.

If you have an audio splitter this setup would sound best. just split the mic from the PS4 to the mic input of the PC. This isn't best practices but aside from doing that, getting a second mic on you would be best.

Well, what I went and did is bought a separate microphone. And also my tv has a headphone jack that I didnt notice. So ill be able to broadcast both my voice and game sound with out delay. Plus ill be able to listen to my gaming sound with a headset plugged into the tv. As of right now everything is fine, I got lucky with the headphone jack into the tv.
