Question / Help Hauppage HD PVR 2 or Rocket?

I'm torn between which one to get. I'll mainly be using to broadcast PS3/4 to Hitbox. The Rocket has a lot better portability, but the HD PVR 2 has a few more features. I'm struggling to find out much about the Rocket though, even on the website, the PVR 2 is described in much greater detail than the Rocket. Does the Rocket record at the same rate as the PVR 2? Is there a delay? They claim there's no delay, but I'm pretty sure that's not possible.

Neither device is supported in OBS yet and both are USB 2.0 devices which means an inherent capture delay. You would be better much off getting a PCIe card if you're using a desktop, or a USB 3.0 device like the XCAPTURE-1 if you meet the requirements and absolutely must have external capture hardware. If an external USB 2.0 device is really your only option then the Live Gamer Portable would probably be your best bet.

Hi, I am aware that OBS does not support it directly, however I know of a few casters that get around this by using other software to capture the device, and then have OBS capture the window of that instead.

Anyway, I have decided on the PVR 2, thank you for your advice, though!
