I am a league of legends player and I want to stream league (not very cpu instensive, afaik), but the problem is that I have a 2 core processor. I am planning on upgrading to a 6 core amd (the 8 core costs about 100$ more). Is there anything else I should upgrade for streaming?
Basically, is the 6 core amd processor going to be good enough for livestreaming, playing league and running music and twitch chat? (I am sure that it is, I guess I just figured why not ask).
I already replaced my stock ram and am planning on getting another kingston ddr3 memory stick 4gb, for a total of 8. (I know this is fine because of research I have done).
Also my hard drive is already 7 years old (from a friend that did my build for free and just used one of his hard drives), but the rest of my computer is closer to 4 years old. This is probably the part where I need the most advice. I am aware of potentially cloning my old drive (should I just get the new one) or the possibility to just have both hard drives, even if I don't know how to do it myself, right now.
But again, will my hard drive (320gb western digital) of about 7 years old, be good enough to stream? I am of the understanding it has very little impact on streaming, but if I have a better primary disk data transfer rate, I may be able to squeeze a bit more fps out of my games or make it less likely I will lose all of my information (and the OS) to a hard drive failure.
An ssd is kind of out of the question, as money is an issue, but I would be open to upgrading to 1 tb if that's necessary.
Also, I understand that you can sell your old computer components to recuperate some of the costs, so value is really the deciding factor here.
Sorry if this is extraneous, but in case you were wondering heres the links for the items in question:

(I'm fairly certain the speed of my old harddrive may not be the same as this new one, but I don't know for sure)
edit: also why are 1 tb hard drives practically the same price as smaller ones?
the 750 GB (select these by clicking on the right) drive is normally 99.99 and still more expensive than the 1tb drive (which is 69.99) on sale for 84.99
Please help me understand why this is and help me make a decision on a hard drive. Thank you.
