Question / Help Hardware Encoder with OBS?

Since a Capture Card is out of the Game now, since it doesnt provide any increasements on a single PC setup and Shadowplay is 'meh' since it lowers your gpu performance and the quality is not the best i was wondering what alternatives are available.

curently i am playing around with quicksync and it looks pretty good, but what if i want more?

How about a hardware encoder? Can such a piece of Hardware increase Picture Quality while lowering CPU load? And if it does so ... can it be used in OBS?

I was thinking about
AVerMedia Live-Gamer HD Lite, PCI-E 61C9850000AS
or similar Products. Any suggestions?

Quicksync IS a hardware encoder.
So is nvenc and VCE.
All those produce WAY (like years ahead of it) better quality than any capture cards hardware encoder. Haswells quicksync being at the top if i remember correct followed by nvenc.

The hardware encoders on those cards are not supported by obs and probably wont be for quite some time if they ever will.

Thanks for the info. Since i have a Haswell i wont wonder anymore if it can get any better.

But with Quicksync there ... why is there all the talking about capture cards and so on?
