Question / Help Hardcore pixelation during fast-pace play

XSplit and OBS both use x264 to encode so the results should be the same if the relevant settings are. I'd love to see a comparison.

Exactly, that's why I'm wondering if a setting or two are off. OBS has a ton of settings compared to XSplit and it wouldn't surprise me if I was off on something. Let me upload a video real quick.

Edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weq353cSWqk First half is OBS and the second is XSplit.

Youtube re-encodes everything you upload, so it isn't a useful tool for video quality comparisons. A pair of 30 second clips put up on Dropbox or whatever would be better.

Your Elgato is only outputting at 1280x720, try lowering your base resolution to that instead. Currently you're upscaling the image to 1080p then downscaling it again.

So, I'm actually not using the elgato. I'm using the Avermedia Live Gamer HD. Not sure exactly why that's in the log still, I uninstalled the drivers as well. The settings are 3000/3000 as well, which the log also has a setting of 3500/3000. Will upload the vid to dropbox once I get home.
