Question / Help Good internet./pc but laggy?

Hey guys,

Having just started to stream I am finding that my ping is shooting above 100 when streaming and wondering if this is normal for my pc/internet or if I've got some settings that need changing.

Here my internet speed (please note I am using the BT Extender kit so im not directly plugged into the router im going through mains).



I left my stream running this morning for 15 minutes and below is the log:

I didn't lag this morning but last night while playing faceit (swe/uk/german servers) i was exceeding 100/150 ping and was unplayable so could this be down to my internet not being able to handle this? (6 people in the house).

Probably because you're trying to stream in 1080p with a relatively low upload speed. 1080p is almost never recommended because viewers have trouble keeping up with the amount of data sent too. Try down scaling.

Try 720p 30 fps @ 2000-2500 bitrate

I have 30fps at 2000 bitrate already.. How do I 'Choose' 720p? Or is that to do with bitrate

Go to Settings -> Video and use drop-down list in Resolution Downscale.

Try the "Minimize impact on network" Setting in the broadcast settings tab.
