Question / Help Good capture card to buy?

Hi peeps,
I am pretty new to streaming but have done some testing and have come to the conclusion that I'd like to use a 2nd PC (i5 2500K) as my stream box (for obvious reasons... no impact on gaming pc etc...)

The Avermedia live gamer gets alot of attention but if I am not needing the hardware encode feature what would be a cost efficient option to choose which will be recognized by OBS? 720p @ 60fps would be fine, for my needs, but if there is a card that can do 1080p @ 60fps (not sure if this would push the limits of the twitch.tv 3500kbps or slower preference for bitrate) for a reasonable price.

I live in Canada and would prefer to spend under $150 but it's not a hard limit...

Thanks!

NVM I found a fairly decent list here : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... DLWc#gid=0

If anyone wants to drop a line and mention something still feel free though thx

For $150 I don't think you can find anything, although I think the Avermedia Live Gamer is just slightly above that. But it can't do 1080p60. Which isn't that important unless you plan to save to your hard drive, because Twitch (really Flash) doesn't handle 1080p60 streaming well enough to use it.

There are alternatives but they all cost significantly more. Except for not using a capture card at all: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6757
