Going live on OBS instead of Google account

Hello,
I run our church's livestream on Youtube. I noticed that I have to go to our Youtube channel on our Google account and click "Go Live" and edit the day's thumbnail and the title before I start streaming from OBS or the livestream will have the previous service's thumbnail and title on the current stream. Is there a way to just click "Start Streaming" and have a default thumbnail and either current date or blank? Or do I have to ask YouTube?

YouTube used to have an API for that, and then they removed it to combat spambots. Manual only.

Though I've seen one recent report that if you give OBS your YT credentials and have it log into your account instead of using the stream key, then you *can* change at least some of those things from OBS.

If that's true, then maybe the Advanced Scene Switcher plugin either already does or can be updated to do what you need:
