Question / Help Global hotkeys

Hi guys.

So I did a search of the forum and the internet in general, but I couldn't find anything about this issue anywhere...

I use a capture card for streaming, so I always go fullscreen with my applications and thus, I cannot get the scene-switching hotkeys to work... This might just be me, whos a complete moron... but I cannot for the life of me get the hotkeys to work while playing a game... I've tried both simple hotkeys and ctrl-alt-key combos... Nothing works... but my media keys on my keyboard still works, what gives?...

Can anyone help me with this issue?
 
It's possible the game you are playing is capturing key input so it's not registering in OBS for some reason. You might be able to try setting up a AutoHotKey hotkey and capturing hotkeys that way, but it's hard to say without knowing what you've tried already.
 
I think you're right dodgepong - but I have 0 experience in coding scripts for autohotkey. Could you possibly point me in the right direction in order to fix the problem?
 
I figured out the issue - it's when you run a game in fullscreen AND "As administrator" - if you uncheck the "run as administrator" option - the hotkeys will work...
