So Ive looked into all other threads about this, and still no solution has worked. My question is: Can i use my Xbox one mic (attached to xbox one controller) and be able to hear it thru the stream?

I have no problem with my video, music, or game audio coming thru stream, however there is no mic audio coming thru.

Setup:
Xbox One console to Elgato Game Capture HD to Alienware 18
I use Turtle Beach Atlas Edtion connected to Xbox one controller

Any help, if even a "cant be done" is greatly appreciated. Thank you

There should be something in the xbox one's settings somewhere that allows you to set where you want sound to output, though I'm not 100% sure. Basically, look around in your xbox one settings.

I looked thru all settings in the xbox console settings, changed them and then restarted OBS in every new setting i tried. Still no change. One thing i did notice is, there is no setting to allow chat over external speakers. Unlike the Xbox 360. It seems all chat audio is limited to the xbox one controller, for some reason. I think my only option is to purchase a audio mixer similiar to the Astro pro-mixer or the Aimon HP HMA-1 Video Game Headphone Mixer/Amplifier. If you can find another way please let me know. Thanks

You have to use a splitter. The splitter is plugged into the chat adapter, one cord goes to your computer, then the other goes to your headset. Either that or you have to use a separate mic. I suggest using the AT2020 to stream. The quality on it is great. If you get a USB mic to stream with MAKE SURE to get a pop filter though. You can find videos on youtube quite easily that explain how to get the mic audio to work on your stream from xbox one.

If you have a mixer then you may be able to plug your mixer into your computer and not need a splitter for the chat adapter. YouTube is your friend. It may take a while to find the video you need, but I guarantee you'll find it. Much faster than reading through threads and waiting on replys.
