Hey guys!
Been stuffing around with various recording software trying to find one that does not record audio in SuperLossy(TM). ShadowPlay is <3. but with AAC 99kbit it's rather terrible for recording modern games in. I don't care much about live streams, but do care about capabilities for recording high quality clips to be viewed and processed later. We run replays on a large monitor, etc.
Anyway. Even with the sound quality settings set to AAC 320 48kHz, it saves it as somewhere between 96 and 148kHz leading to about as bad audio as ShadowPlay does. Is this just how it is, or is there a way to force higher settings?
Having thought that it perhaps does something funky along with the video settlings I fiddled with them and the buffer settings but they do not seem to affect it at all.
My sound devices are, of course, set to the appropriate format and I have absolutely no audio issues using Audacity or any other sound recorder. It records exactly what I hear, and plays it back without issues.
Thankful for any help I can get on this! OBS seems like such a great product otherwise!
