I'm fairly new to OBS so there's a good chance I have done something wrong in my setup. Any time I switch scenes within a scene collection I always get the following error: "An encoder error occurred while recording.". I reached out to a friend that is experienced in OBS and even they can't figure out what's causing this issue. The scenes I am switching between are rather simple. I have an introduction, intermission, and game capture scene in this collection. The introduction and intermission are identical other than the image source. Both use a media capture that is an MP3 audio file from my music collection. My game capture has an audio capture for any game audio, and the encoder I am using is the NVENC encoder. It would seem that there are no issues when streaming, there are only problems with recording videos. Here are my recording output settings:
Output Mode: Simple
- STREAMING -
Video Bitrate: 6000Kbps
Encoder: Hardware (NVENC)
Audio Bitrate: 160
Advanced Encoder Settings: Enabled
Enforce streaming service bitrate limits: Enabled
Encoder Preset: Performance
- RECORDING -
Recording Quality: Indistinguishable Quality
Recording Format: MP4
Encoder: Hardware (NVENC)
Here's my hardware specs as well:
CPU: Intel i7 8750H (duodec-core) @2.1~4.2GHz
GPU: NVIDIA 1060 GTX 6GB VRAM
RAM: 16GB GDDR4
OS: Windows 10 Home Edition x64
[UPDATE]
I have generated an error log for my problem and a cursory glance through it says I'm missing the widevinecdmadapter.dll library. Is there a specific version or source I need to get it from?

I have already tried things like switching the encoder to software-based but I still get errors.
