Question / Help Getting 'Disconnected by Server'

legit_advice

New Member
Hey!

Last year I had no problems, but when I tried to stream yesterday and today, I got 'disconnected by server' after a random amount of time. I could only stream for 5 minutes maximum.

I read the pinned thread and tried different servers and bitrates and disabled my firewall and antivir. It did not help.

Here is the latest log. It's actually one of the shortest broadcasts as well.

Thanks in advance!

On my Laptop seem to be 2 wireless NIC and the Killer.

Since streaming wireless is nearly impossible for me, the answer would be no.

I experimented with some settings and after i downscaled to 480p and a bitrate of 1100kb/s i got the following error message:

Unfortunately it looks like you have either a really bad connection or interfering software / hardware.

Apparently the problem were spikes in the bitrate, that went above my max upload.

I fixed it by not using CBR and using a low buffer size (maxbitrate + buffersize < upload).

Question: is there a code for Advanced > Custom x246 Encoder Settings to restrict the max upload OBS uses? vbv-maxrate maybe?

You don't need to use custom parameters, the options in the encoder control such things.
