Hey Guys,

So I am new to streaming and recently just finished my setup and want to start streaming soon. I wanna stream PC and console games, my question is how do I get the sound of the gameplay when streaming consoles games. More specifically I have a audio interface hooked up to my PC (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4) and my mic (AT2035) + headset (Sennheiser Game One) is also hooked up to the Audio Interface. So my question is how do I get the game sound from let's say my Xbox One to my headset, if it's still hooked up to the interface.
I want to record the gameplay with my internal AverMedia Live Gamer HD and since I have to connect my Xbox to it. So will the sound of the game end up in my audio interface/ headset that is connected to the audio interface?

Sorry if this question is kinda stupid and if I misspelled something or so( I am from Germany) - just looking for some answers :D

Don't hook the xbox up to the interface, just have game audio go over the HDMI cable and record it with the capture card.

If you mean capturing party chat, Elgato sells a splicer cable that you may be able to hook up and run as a separate input for a couple of bucks.

Oh ok so the HDMI cable connected from my Xbox to the capture card will be enough to get audio to the interface?

The interface (assuming you mean the Scarlett) won't capture any game audio. The Avermedia capture card will, through the HDMI cable, just like it does with the video.

But will I be able to somehow hear the game audio in my headset that is connected to the Scarlett? I mean everything is connected to the same PC and since I can pick up all of the audio from the PC, I should also be able to listen to the game audio right?
