Hey mrmcpowned. I've been using your website plugin thing for quite some time now and I really love it. I was sharing it with a friend today when I noticed that the website had been updated and after poking around with the new site features I noticed there was an option to set the maximum steering angle of a wheel. I was very excited at this point and immediately plugged in my wheel and to my astonishment it worked (it's now suddenly stopped working after a 2nd try after refreshing the website, not sure why). However there was no wheel skin.
Do you have plans on making a generic wheel skin? I understand that wheels have many different inputs for axis (X, Y, Z, etc). Perhaps in the Generate URL section of the site include options to set your what axis belongs to what. Like negative Y is brake and positive Y is acceleration.

Anyway I love the work that you've done. I hope you a good time with whatever magic you use on to make this tool so amazing.
I do have plans for a wheel based setup at some point, yeah. The current setting is more for people to play around with when using custom styles, since it rotates an item with relation to the lateral position of the analog sticks. I probably won't get a proper wheel setup going until I can figure out input remapping, since apparently wheels have a lot of weird inputs.

This looks really good so far! Would you consider open-sourcing it? That way other people could work on including features such as button remapping.

The thought has come across my mind before but for now it's more of a personal project than a community one. I'll probably put it up on a repo at some point in the future though, when I feel that's necessary.

I just found this thing and think it's great work, it's been asked for before and already in the TODO list just wanted to say that I'm excited about arcadestick support and wanted to ask if it will support a way to remap the buttons. For example the standard top row layout is in x-input: X Y RB LB but I've remapped these to a more logical(for me), X Y LB RB. This shows weirdly in your madcatz fightpad display for example.

Keep up the good work! :)

Controller mapping is in fact done, I just wanna finish some other stuff before I publish the update. Mainly adding in buttons 16 (The PS Button) and 17 (DS4 touchpad). I also need to look into adding the generic fighstick skin I posted a few pages back.

That looks really good, the actual stick and button art is solid. Is it safe to assume that I can choose to not display the start & select buttons? I'm not sure if the stick would cut off-screen into the left when used if I just crop them away using OBS. Also having a generic skin would be great too since I think personally for arcade sticks in particular you don't need the button legends assuming the player has the usual LP, MP, HP, 3P layout for Street Fighter by example.

Yeah you should be fine in terms of cropping of those buttons so long as I shift them a bit to the left, as the effective area of the stick is highlighted in black.

The nice thing about the generic skin is that the background is transparent, so user's can use whatever image they like as the background of their fightstick setup.

Edit#5: A code wizard and good friend of mine fixed a CSS for me and it looks like this: https://youtu.be/YustjciEbXE

Link to it is here if anyone needs it:

Hype! But for some reason now the website isn't receiving my stick inputs even if it's recognized as player 1 also remapping is greyed out(mapping base). This was not a problem before this update. Also I can only see the skin with the legends and not the generic one that doesn't have the ABXY/triangle+square etc which you showed in an earlier page. It recognizes correctly @ http://html5gamepad.com/ but not on your website. Am I missing something?

I'm using the latest Chrome in Win10.

Edit: It seems to recognize my inputs after I go to http instead of https, your tool links to the https version though.
Edit#2: Going to ask my friend if he can remove the button legends and the 'player 1' with CSS.
Edit#3: In OBS studio the stick becomes entirely invisible when trying to add a crop filter, I'll see if the start/select can be removed via CSS as well otherwise do you have any idea why?
Edit#4: To give a rough idea on what I had imagined it would look when you said generic, assuming the cropping worked: http://i.imgur.com/DIhiQhV.png

Glad it worked out, but yeah, I'd prefer having that visual kind of info as a default, and if people want to change it to their liking, they're more than welcome to do so

I've tried pressing every single button, refresh, restart, reconnect my controller, nothing. It says there are no controllers connected which I call bull because my PS4 controller is working fine with DS4Windows. Any help?

Try unplugging your controller and plugging it back in. If that does not work go to this website to make sure your controller has working inputs at http://html5gamepad.com

mrmcpowned updated Gamepad Display with a new update entry:

The White DS4 Update

Version 0.6.1 - April 23, 2016
  • Mapping Bugfix: Apparently mapping values for buttons that don't exist (like trying to show a touchpad or PS Button press) was broken before, but now it's not!
  • Swanky New Skin: Thanks to an anonymous benefactor, there's a new white DS4 skin, and it looks sweeeeet.
  • DS4 Changes: The DS4's touchpad press is now represented (though not the touches on...

This used to work fine but it doesn't seem to detect my controller (PS3 on USB detected as a wireless XBox 360 receiver through DS3Tools) but my games work just fine. I also tried that http://html5gamepad.com that M1K3_Alt3r mentioned but no response there either.

Any idea what may be wrong?
