Hi, I have gotten all my settings correct using the OBS Estimator. When in game (In Minecraft) I have high fps while using OBS (From 30-50 fps) however, the game seems very jitter and not smooth like usual. Usually I get around 100+ fps in Minecraft and other games. Obviously OBS will have some effect on the performance of other programs running at the same time but I don't understand why it is so bad!?!

My OBS settings (In order):

Encoding - CBR: True
Max Bitrate: 3500
Buffer Size: 3500
Audio - Codec: AAC
Bitrate: 128

Video - Resolution: 1280 x 720
Downscale: 852 x 480
Filter: Bilinear
FPS: 25
Aero: Enabled

Advanced - Priority: Normal
Scene Buffering: 700 milliseconds
x264 Preset: veryfast
Encoding Profile: main
CFR: Enabled

My PC specs:

YES I know some parts in my PC are a few years old because it is a refurbished gaming PC...

Windows 7 Pro (64-bit)
8GB RAM (Can upgrade to 16GB)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2.66GHz
Zotac GeForce GT 9500 (I also have the ATI Radeon HD 5450 but I don't know which would be better)
If there are any other specifics I need to list please reply to the post and tell me.

5450 would be miles better for you
the main issue is the cpu tho being on the lower end / older since obs will be taking at least 2 of your cores up
you could try assigning cpu cores to obs and game see if it helps any
that way they wont be fighting over the cores
upgrading your ram woudnt help what so ever so save that money

Thanks you very much for the great reply! People have been telling me to get a new PC but I can't afford one at the moment so I got a slightly better refurbished PC that is better than my old Intel Pentium 4.How many cores would you recommend to OBS? Also would I have to assign cores to the game I am playing too?

One last question... does this reset once I have shut down and logged back onto my PC?
