Question / Help Game is choppy on stream - Ingame is fine, scrolling text is 30FPS

Hey guys,

So, quick question here. I've been facing an issue streaming Black Desert for a while, and I know I shouldn't be facing it with my hardware when people with lower hardware get better results on their streams. I'll explain, but first take a look at this clip (sorry for the baguette language) :

https://clips.twitch.tv/PowerfulDistinctElkOhMyDog

As you can see, the stream outputs 30FPS as it should, as you can see the scrolling text appears at 30FPS smoothly. With that said, the game sometimes looks choppy even though preview and ingame are completely fine.

Here's what the "Loads of lines" are in the log : https://puu.sh/vBvET/403fbeef63.png

Hardware :
i7 5930k @ 4.5Ghz
EVGA 1080 SC+ SLI
32Gb DDR4 RAM

Playing in 1440p resized to 1080p on OBS, outputting 1080p @ 30FPS @ 4500kbps
Both CPU and GPU aren't showing any signs of struggle percentage-wise.

Any idea on how to reduce the choppyness ? I had the same issue back when I was streaming in 720p just so you know, so I think it has something to do with my settings.

Thanking you in advance for your answers !

If you are still using OBS Classic, please note that this version is no longer supported. While we cannot and will not do anything to prevent you from using it, we cannot help with any issues that may come up. It is recommended that you update to OBS Studio.

Further information on why you should update (and how): https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/how-to-easily-switch-to-obs-studio.55820/

Hey there.

I fixed my issue with the choppyness of the stream after further research on the subject. Turns out it was the way OBS works with SLI. The framerate is now completely fine and the game capture is acting fine. I'm now back to the pixelation struggle, 1440p > 1080p, even with insane settings ;

My hardware and Internet can handle 6'000kbps (affiliate status), slow preset, Lanczos on the rescaled 1440p>1080p game capture, with no issue, but I still get those ugly pixelated spots when a lot of movement happens when friends of mine can stream 1080p>720p with a crystal clear result. I will start a new thread regarding this issue.

If anything, I'll try pushing 1440p since Twitch seems to allow it, but it would be hard for viewers to watch I guess.
