Bug Report Game crashes when I try to start recording (hialgo boost)

I've been attempting to record gameplay in Skyrim using OBS 0.657b in conjunction with the Hialgo Boost utility (boost hooks into the dx9 the rendering pipeline to dynamically scale rendering resolution, increasing fps during movement on underpowered systems at the cost of some visual fidelity)

If Hialgo Boost is running Skyrim crashes to desktop as soon as I try to start recording (this is using OBS game mode). FRAPS has no problem recording gameplay with hialgo boost running so I suspect the problem is with OBS rather than the boost software. I've attached a log file but I fear it's pretty uninformative as OBS does not detect any problem, it's the game that crashes when OBS tries to attach. Any tips on how to further diagnose the problem would be much appreciated.

Multiple hooks are not supported, you'll only be able to use OBS game capture or the boost program. Window capture may be a better option.

Thank you for your reply. I've now successfully tried window capture. I did find I had to install the Onetweak mod to run Skyrim in a full screen window as the default full screen mode resulted in OWS window capture recording the sound and not the visuals.
