Bug Report Game capture won't work after update

Game capture stopped working after last update. Before update i could stream games in fullscreen (except Supreme ommander, if anyone know how to stream SC in fullscreen - let me know ;) ), but now i can't. I have black screen in every game. I don't change my settings which worked before update.

To avoid any and all problems arising from deprecated settings or version conflicts, I'd start by simply resetting OBS completely.

Start -> Run -> %AppData%\OBS

Clear that folder, without OBS running obviously. Then start OBS again, it will have reset completely. Try again and if the Game Capture still does not work, do not hesitate to say so.

It's working now, thank you very, very much :) another question: anyone know how to stream supreme commander in full screen mode? is this possible?

I don't see a reason why it's not possible. What about it isn't working for you? Could you explain in more detail? I don't have SC myself so I can't try but maybe if you explained the exact nature of the issue I could still try to resolve it.

I tried it and couldn't get it to work properly either. In my case it did capture but for some reason SC would jump into a windowed mode, without showing any graphics.

What I did to try and capture it was that I first set SC to a windowed mode. Then I went into OBS and selected a Game Capture for SC. Started the stream. Then went back to SC and simply switched it to fullscreen. It did seem to work but SC misbehaved after that. So, then I tried a maximized window and that worked without a problem. I think SC does not really like switching between windowed and fullscreen too much. ;)

Anyhow, I'd simply recommend playing it in a maximized window. Which is just about the same size as fullscreen anyhow.

hey, it's working perfectly :) i don't know why but i can switch to fullscreen without any problems and I don't have black screen. Thanks! :D

got the same problem with game capturing after the newst update, stream is starting up decently but after like 2 minutes it just goes offline even tho OBS still says its running, on my asrock "xfast lan" gadget im able to see that its still using my upload so its definitely still streaming.

already deleted the stuff in %AppData%\OBS and reinstalled the program, both unsuccessful

any other ideas?

actually i have the same problem. i am trying to make a gameplay video for youtube of riddick.
but when the game runs i turn on OBS with the hotkey it crashes the game. also i try to turn on OBS manually still does the same i tried window fullscreen . clearing the folder nothing works any reason why OBS makes the game crash?
