Okay so since i updated etc to mantle and all that good stuff i havent been able to stream Battlefield 4 with game capture
Now ive heard that Mantle doesnt work with all that etc so i switched it back

Either mantle is on 24/7 or something else because i have switched it back to direct x or whatever the other API is if thats the word. I aint no pro but my idea is that i have to disable mantle 100%?I dont know how to but i cant be the only one here have tried streaming with mantle and not having issues.

Now im streaming it with window capture... which is rather not worth it. Help please

NewGuy.

Game Capture supports Directx and OpenGL games in different versions, but Mantle is a whole different rendering engine. It will not work with OBS. You can normally just run BF4 in borderless window mode and window capture it if you want to keep using Mantle.
Normally to deactivate it you only have to turn it off ingame and restart your game, then make sure D3D11 (I think) is listed instead. And game capture should work again.
If that is not the case you can try re-adding the game capture source to OBS, using the Hotkey Capture instead of selecting BF4 in the dropdown and/or last but not least try running OBS as an administrator.

If your game is crashing then that means you probably have another program on your computer interfering usually. These could be other capture programs, game mods and graphics mods (sweetfx in particular), graphics card utilities like msi afterburner or the EVGA 'K boost' feature (I think it's called), or programs that put in custom in-game overlays for their program, such as teamspeak/mumble overlays

Jim I have something thats called AI Suite ll as the only program being up.. Its never happened before until i installed the new update for AMD drivers im using a R9 290X and since i ever got the option for mantle this has been going on.

After running OBS with administrative rights and using Anti Cheat compatibility, I can capture BF4 just fine. You could try out different combinations, restart your pc, or use the mentioned borderless mode with window capture :(

Oh, in simple, BF4 uses punkbuster to check for cheats on your system.
Now a lot of anti cheats are treating software that "hooks" to the game (to capture it) as a cheat. So, Jim could explain this better of course, but in simple, the anti-cheat compatibility changes the(or uses a different) hook that works with quite a few Anti-Cheat programs. So it could be that a recent PunkBuster update changed BF4 slightly to be more strict against hooks, and thus we now need to check that box for BF4 :)
