Question / Help Game Capture Warcraft 3

Game Capture isn't working for Warcraft 3 for some reason. I assume the game is just incompatible with the feature. Do I need to use Monitor Capture to stream this game in full screen?

If anybody knows anything about this I'd appreciate it thanks

Warcraft 3 is a DirectX 8 game, and Game Capture does not support DirectX 8.
There is a wrapper DLL somewhere in a really old post on this forum, searching for Warcraft 3 will probably help.

If you can get it to run in a window, you could use Window Capture instead.

well shit. And I can't seem to get it to run in windowed mode either (tried everything, including renaming with -windowed at the end)

meh. I don't know how streamers manage to stream this game in full screen. guess they use XSplit

just to clarify

People streaming Warcraft full screen (there are lots of them) are NOT using OBS? I want to know what these people are using ...

Play Warcraft 3 in a window by adding -window to the end of the target path in a shortcut and then use this tool: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... p=30525996 to make it borderless, then just use Window Capture.

edit: After adding your game to the tool, you may have to right click the "Windowed Borderless Gaming" icon in your system tray and select "Open game settings" and manually put in your fullscreen resolution into the "Resolution" section.
