Question / Help Game Capture picking up Steam overlay

I've been noticing lately that Game Capture is picking up the Steam overlay, even though I don't have the setting to hook it checked.

Not sure how long it's been doing it. Any way to stop this?

For me it's flashing my Steam overlay if I open it.
I have tried both anti-cheat hooking checked and unchecked and it still flashes my Steam overlay.

Seems to only be doing it if OBS MP is started first, does with both 32 and 64 bit.

This is really strange. It never ever happened before. The ONLY thing I'm doing different lately is streaming to YouTube but I really don't see how that could effect it.
 
If you're starting up the game while obs is active, it's possible it's probably injecting too fast, causing it to begin hooking before steam's overlay. If that is the case, then steam is overwriting my hook and executing before my hook. I'll probably have to figure out a way to make it detect/bypass it, or wait until it detects steam is loaded.
 
Did some testing. Seems like it's specific to certain games... For me it's just ARMA 3. (Tried 5+ other games without the issue).

Lol, same. Even does it with the non-multiplatform version as well. Hope there is a fix for this soon...
 
Not sure if it's the new update, or I was just a dumbass (I apparently had the overlay hook selected) But it doesn't appear to be doing it now.
 
No go for me. Game capture literally stopped working out of no where just a moment ago for ARMA 3. When it was working, it was still capturing the steam overlay with everything unchecked and checked.
 
OBS Multiplatform with Game Capture and the overlay option DESELECTED still shows the Steam Overlay for me. Would appreciate this being fixed.
