Question / Help Game capture not working for me for league of legends ONLY

Hey! Well heres the issue, Recently my game capture has stopped working for league of legends which is strange, It works on world of warcraft and rift but only SOMETIMES it will work on league of legends, can someone help me out? ty <3

Hm, very interesting, yea it might be due to requiring admin privileges on OBS. Also, if necessary, you can run league borderless/windowed mode, and then use window capture. Generally just as fast.

Might need to for game capture, yea. The borderless windowed mode + window capture was a recommendation just in case you continue to have problems.

Either. Not sure what to suggest otherwise -- if you continue to get a black screen and have tried window capture with borderless LoL, then there's either something configured wrong, or you don't have windows/drivers properly updated or something. I really don't know, and I would love to teamviewer it to fix it up for you but they've prevented me from being able to do that.

Strange; I run LoL in fullscreen borderless-window mode, and use Game Capture for the in-game client. Works quite well.

Just to be clear Malkieyor, you're pointing the game capture at the in-game executable (League of Legends.exe) AFTER the game has started, right? If you're pointing it at the pvp.net client (lolclient.exe/lollauncher.exe), it's not going to help.

I use monitor capture to view the home screen (loading and login) and gamecapture with the in-game screen (loading into the rift).

I hope we can find a solution to this asap :(

Also, just so you know, Monitor Capture is NOT recommended under Win7 except as an absolute last-resort measure only. Much better to use a Window Capture for the out-of-game PVP.net client.

I can confirm that since the update the program is no longer working with League. I tried many different things the only way its possible to capture league is by using window capture not game capture

Confirm? All the posts in this thread prior to your post were before the update (If you mean OBS 0.60b). Also, Nothing changed with game capture in the OBS update.

On top of that, to be sure, I had someone test game capture on league of legends (thanks krazy), and it was working fine. Besides, if game capture stopped working with league of legends, I would get a bazillion new posts complaining about it. If possible, post your log so we can try to help you troubleshoot what's going on on your end.

Nice snarky attitude there forum mod, great way to make your users want to stay and give feedback. I apologize, I now have the problem, and did not have it before the update. Obviously I alone have this problem. Also, to clarify, it isn't the game of LoL itself but PvP.net client that is not working. I have a cannot find window message. I'll post logs after this game is finished.
