Question / Help Game Capture issue

Hello I am using the most current build of OBS v0.622b and since the update the Game Capture option hasn't worked for me and for the life of me I can't figure out why. This wasn't a big deal as I could just split my monitors feed through an HDMI splitter and run it through a capture card. I recently upgraded to a 144hz monitor running DVI so that option is no longer available to me. whenever I choose Game Capture it shows the game window open for most of my games ( NOT BF4 ) but whenever I select it all I get is a black screen. There used to be a trick where you could remove it from the scene and re-add it and it would work no problem but now I can't get it to work at all. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated in trying to help me get my PC streaming back up and running.

I try and post the code using the "code" option and it's saying I can't post a message with over 10k characters. So i've uploaded the log from that streaming session instead if that is helpful. Once again I hope you're able to help me out with that.

That's strange, the log file actually says that it worked. Not sure what iw3mp.exe is though. I'm not entirely sure what's going on here. Do all games fail for you?

iw3mp.exe is the Call of Duty 4 window/program.

right now the main ones that are failing are games that run through Origin and this COD4 PC. My steam games seem to be unaffected.

Hm, I'm starting to feel like there's something interfering there, does origin have some sort of overlay? If so, is it disableable?

the iw3mp.exe isn't ran through origin at all it's a steam game, but I disabled all in game overlays ( steam and origin ) to see if it would fix the issues. But as of right now Battlefield and titanfall don't even show up under the game capture list no matter how many times I refresh it. Could this be because I run them fullscrren windowed borderless? that is the only thing I can consider in regards to those 2 specific titles. Left 4 Dead captures fine through the game capture as well as a few of my other games that I tested. I'm just stuck right now lol.

Hey, do you have your firewall on a leash? Cause after the latest OBS update, Norton figured it should try to mess with OBS accessing processes and deleted 'injecterhelper' or something like that. Some games still worked fine to capture for me while others didn't.

Always have your guardians on a leash or it will ignite the Robot Apocalypse.

UPDATE:

I put Titanfall and BF4 back into fullscreen mode then attempted game capture and it actually started working once they were back into fullscreen. Just to see if it would stay working I switched them back to borderless and the game capture hook is still working as it should.

But alas one game is STILL continuing to crash no matter what I try and that is COD4 ( iw3mp.exe ), the game crashes as soon as the hook takes place.

Hey, for CoD4 check the "Anti cheat compatibility hooking" box in Game Capture source properties. Without it, I was definitely crashing when trying to play multiplayer.
