I can't get any game to capture. Sources added properly, all settings fine. Using records just captures black screen with sound. When I click preview there shows up info in status bar 'Cannot find window' (game is running).
Only desktop capture works with Monitor Capture - if I record it, switch to game still only black screen is captured.

UPD:
I managed to record Elite Dangerous when game is set to windowed borderless and in OBS add source as Window.
Nothing with 'game capture' does not work :(

I have one, maybe that's because I had 'extend desktop' option set in resolution menu in Windows. Now I have 'show desktop only on 1' set. New log:

Remove all of your sources. Add a single game capture source, and configure it to use a hotkey instead of targeting a specific process or window. Start the game and an OBS preview, press the hotkey while the game has focus. Test with your game in windowed or borderless windowed mode so the game won't stop rendering when you alt-tab to check on OBS.

Also if you keep trying to hijack that other thread while I am actively helping you in your own I am going to lose my Christmas cheer. I've had to delete three of your posts so far. Please stop.

Did as you said. Removed all sources added one 'game capture' and set F6 hotkey to it. Game is running, then I start preview, focus on game window, hit F6 - nothing happens. Tried start recording, hit F6 while in game = nothing.

Sorry about the thread I thought that posting without links to other threads is ok.

Could you post an updated log file with the changes you made?

Also are you running any software that also hooks into the game that could be interfering with game capture? MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precisions, Fraps/Dxtory, TS3/Mumble overlays, Razer Synapse or GameBooster, D3DGear, Dolby Axon, etc.? If so you should close them. You can also try adding the OBS folder to your antivirus software's whitelist to ensure your AV program doesn't interfere.
