Hello everyone hopefully someone can help me... I stream on a pc using obs have a avermedia and use Skype to talk to my buddies... I have my default to output as my headset also default heaset for Skype. When I put the audio source as default you can barely here music and Skype but you can here game volume normal. I lowered the game volume and boosted the volume of the Skype and music and then it can be heard on stream okay. However, its really loud and annoying in my ears. I was wondering if VAC are the way to go to control volume of each separately in the stream while not affecting my headset volume? or is my problem an easy fix? I have heard ppl do not use VAC and there stream is loud in Skype and is the music wonder whats wrong with mine!

You stream on a single pc setup right? What are you using the Avermedia device for exactly?
In most cases the capture card will just use resources and perform worse than using the included capture options of OBS. Also make sure to disable the capture card audio if you want to keep using it, and just record the sound directly from your PC. VAC should definitely not be needed, but I am not totally sure how your Audio setup looks.
If everything goes to your Headset and you can hear Skype and Game sound just fine, OBS should pickup and record the same volumes. You might want to show us a log file:
Problem? Make sure to post a log and/or crash dump -- HOWTO

Yes I stream console games with my avermedia live gamer hd. I think that may be why I have my capture device outputting noise and not outputting to my desktop Ill play with that setting. And yes like you said I hear everything fine on my headset and so does the stream but tits low cause I guess one of the other over powers the other. I was just wondering how people had there obs sound so crisp
