1280x1024 = 5:4 format
Twitch = 16:9 format = black borders

Either get a new monitor, use your current one with a 16:9 res or keep the black borders!
!!! I canNOT recommend to stretch your picture !!!

The black borders can be alleviated by either:
  • Stretching the image, skewing your capture and making it unpleasant to view (in my humble opinion). You can stretch by settings your base resolution to a 16:9 resolution, then manually stretching the source (*edit, said Ctrl-F by accident, it's sort of dumb that I of all people said that because I made the software)
  • Settings a base resolution of 16:9 and using a background image to fill in the black borders behind your capture (better, but obviously not ideal either)
  • Buying a 16:9 monitor (best option, but costs money)

Ctrl + f doesn't actually do the stretching, you'll have to do that manually. Which I don't recommend either btw.
