Full PC lockup

So, OBS studio is completely locking up my PC. Every other piece of software is fine.

The easiest way for me to 100% lock up the PC is for me to switch scenes from 'main' to 'starting soon' then back to main. And it doesn't need to happen in any particular time frame.

The entire PC may not lock up immediately, but that starts the cascade and it doesn't take long after.

It seems to be some interaction with the camera (A logitech c615) as the first visible issue is that when I switch *back* to main, the camera's video doesn't even register even if the game does. The video runs fine when OBS is started up with the Main scene selected. But it's the OBS Studio software that locks up first, becoming non responsive, and any attempt to close it down locks up the computer. No new programs can be started after OBS locks up, running programs will continue for a while however.

There is no log file to upload that I can identify, the whole system just slowly freezes and dies.

My guess (only) is that either
- you have a old or grossly under-powered computer for real-time video encoding?
- your OBS settings are configured in a way your PC can't handle
- you are using a plugin (like that PoS made by streamelements) that is causing the problem

So , do some basic hardware resource monitoring to make sure PC isn't overloaded to begin with. If it isn't, then streamline/clean-up your OBS setup and check if a clean OBS setup works, in which case that should be a good start to help isolate you specific problem's root cause

Not a hardware issue as I have a Nvidia 3060, Ryzen 5 5600 and 16gb of ram. It's only been happening the last few days. Can't find the plugin at fault as they all worked before.
