Question / Help Frames per second drop only while streaming?!?

Bump because with both smite and Shadow of Mordor I had the same frame dropping experience. I've got the fx 8320, and gigabyte gtx970 16gb RAM

In WoW If I stay in my garrison im at 80-80 fps then as soon as I turn on the stream I drop to 35-40. My specs are fx 8350 and gtx 970 8gb ram.

Looks like your cpu can't handle those settings all the time. You wan't that number (eg. 5.20%) to be less than 1.00%.

You can try to disable monitor capture and/or drop the fps from OBS settings to 30.

well you are running win8 and monitor capture so this is completly fine and shouldnt cause problems (aero doesnt matter)

problem may be caused by using monitor and game capture in the same scene probably using monitor capture for something on a second monitor which can cause trouble in some cases

as a test i would suggest using a completly empty scene with only one game capture source capturing wow.

can you make sure that you dont have any overlays running like msi afterburner/overwolf/razer utilities

id highly suggest setting the game to 5 cores and cpu to 3 cores usually 0-4 then 5-7
this is what i have to do with csgo to maintain a decent fps and to stop obs and csgo fighting for power
