Question / Help FPS Drop

Hello everyone, I just started streaming this past week and it was going well. I was having constant 30fps while using the elgato 60hd and everything was great. Yesterday somehow it decided to dro to 14-18fps.

I had no settings changed that I can remember and no wire changes or anything like that.

The only things that changed was that I tried adding a game capture to obs for DayZ. Since then it was giving me issues. Even after I deleted the source it still gives me issue.

Hope someone can help.
 
Upload OBS log files from before you added game capture to OBS for DayZ, after you did that, and after you deleted the source.

That should illustrate the problem for us and help us tell you what to do.

I guess I don't understand, why are you using a capture card if you're doing game capture? Capture cards are used for capturing something happening on a console or second PC. If you're doing game capture, that implies you want to capture what's going on on the same PC, and you don't need the Elgato at all.

Sorry I probably should've been more clear with the elgato... I use the elgato with my Xbox. Ever since I added the game capture for dayz (which never worked actually, just gave me a black screen) that's when the issue started for my elgato Xbox set up
 
So I moved the encoding from x264 to my nvidia graphics card which helped a lot but still dropping to 25 frames which is better.. anyone have any ideas?
