Question / Help FPS drop when playing CS:GO + running OBS

Hello! I've got a huge problem that I really need to fix as soon as possible since I'll get the partnership contract from Twitch any day now.

I have been streaming cs:go for about 4 months now without any trouble. I've been streaming with skype and spotify eunning and the FPS have been around 120-170 and I haven't dropped much frames while streaming.

Since 2-3 days ago something have happened. I got 200 fps when playing without OBS running but as soon as I go live or just preview my stream in OBS while playing my FPS drops to 30-70 and I drop lots of frames, I just can't stream while it is like this. According to the Task Manager I use 70-90% of my CPU when OBS and CS:GO is running, CS:GO takes about 25% and OBS 30%, there is no other programs running that takes that amount of CPU.

I have done everything to fix it, I just reinstalled windows on the computer and cleansed all shit out and the problem remains. The computer is 8 months old, there is no dust inside. I haven't changed any settings in obs in these 4 months of streaming so the problem can't be there either. CPU – Intel Core i5 3350P 3,1GHz GRAPHICS – Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 2GB.

Anyone know how to make OBS to go back to how it was? Or should I accept that OBS needs more CPU since 3 days ago and maybe buy an i7 ?

All help is appreciated!

i had the same problem. Go to obs, right click on the preview screen (where you see your stream on obs) and go to preview and click enable view so that it is checked off. This helped me out but the problem is coming back to me also. If that does not work i dont know what will :)
