Question / Help Fonts Don't Show In Text Area When Selected

So I have used the font "Roboto" before in OBS for I just had to reinstall OBS. I noticed that now when I pick Roboto from my drop down in OBS Text Propeties that the font doesn't show on the screen. But if I pick a windows font like Arial and so forth, it works

Roboto is a fairly large font, isn't it? Possible that it's just too big for the text box area you've defined? At that point, OBS wouldn't draw it as it doesn't have enough space. Try dumping the font size down to 10, and see if it shows up. Alternately, right-click on the source and 'reset size'.

Not all 10 point fonts are actually the same size, after all.

Just installed Roboto Black font from the linked source and it shows just fine.
Can you do a simple test ?! no extent and having some text manually entered?

ohh my lord, once I added text manually the font started to work for both... I have no clue what just happened but thank you? ha ha ha
