Hello! Here's my problem: I made a follower alert with Nightdev web site(the sound is not longer than 10 sec) ,put the link they gave me in my CLR Browser in OBS,added "&preview=true" to the link, and when I preview the stream the alert pops up but the sound comes really later than the image, there's a really big delay...any ideas about what's going on?

Hey Phil!

You did upload the sound file as OGG right? Have your tried to recreate the alert again to just see if it was a issue with the upload?

Thanks for replying! Yes the sound clip was an OGG file and yes I did recreate the alert, even three or four times(i forgot to mention that in my thread),and I even tried with different sound clips and the bugg was still there ( I also reinstalled OBS)

can you supply your url that the alert step by step supplied so I can take a look? It doesn't share any info that can be used for mean things

should look like this
Code:
http://www.nightdev.com/hosted/follower-alert/?channel=USERNAME&type=flat&alert=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F03IHuGO.png&sound=34148

Well there's still a delay when i preview it in OBS but if the alert's URL is fine and there's no delay when i preview it in my Web Browser, does it mean it's gonna be OK while streaming?Maybe it's just my OBS "preview" feature that has a little issue?I don't know!

how are you testing it in OBS? There is honestly no testing method for the follower alert right now because checking it in the browser or having someone follow you.

The delay seems very strange but it all points to the plugin or obs. I will ask some of the NightDevs and see if they can recreate the issue.

I put the alert's link that NightDev gave me in the CLR Bowser source, add "&preview=true",save the parameters, then I click on "Test Streaming" (well,I use OBS french version,so i'm not sure if the feature's name is "Test Streaming" in the english version)...About one week ago, when I was testing the streaming using this method in OBS the alerts preview was fine, sound and image perfectly synchronised...I really don't know what I did wrong XD

Hmmm, you did remove the "&preview=true" part after you was done testing it right? See i am thinking this might be more towards a OBS/CLR issue then Night's alert. I don't like blaming other stuff but it does seem fine on the NightDev side of things. Even took your link and tested in my OBS and worked fine.

Are you up to date with OBS?

Make sure you are running 32 bit OBS and 32 bit CLR (which you seem to already know)

Hope a OBS support could swing in here and give their thoughts.

Could you try this link in your URL please

Code:
http://www.nightdev.com/hosted/follower-alert/?channel=philwhatman&type=flat&alert=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F4aR4Nsx.png&sound=33247

I hypothesize that this is because your computer is too slow, processing (loading) the sound much later than the preview. If that's the case, then only the first alert will lag behind, the rest should play normally.

To test, load the alert in CLR browser without a preview. Create two new Twitch accounts, and follow your main channel one at a time (and wait until the alert plays once before following with the second account).

Hello! I have exactly the same problem as Phil had.
The file is in OGG, I recreated it a several times, everything is updated and I tried all advices that was given to Phil aswell, but there is still a delay. I just think you need to do the same thing in the URL as you did for Phil.

https://www.nightdev.com/hosted/follower-alert/?channel=befalhavarn&chroma=false&alert=https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/51uzptoothlkl34/follow-alert.png?dl=0&transition=fade&sound=https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/1jwewalwdywqaii/follow-alert.ogg?dl=0&align=center

I just add "&preview=true" in the end of the URL to test it in OBS

Thanks in advance!
