Question / Help Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 Audio Interface disables every few minutes (link included)

Hey guys,

This problem is a haunting one. My audio is regularly cutting out on the stream. I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 to send the analogue audio coming from my mixer into a digital signal that goes into my PC via USB 2.0

The problem is that it disables / cuts out / stops working / crashes a few times an hour and I have to enter the audio settings in OBS to reinitialize the audio. Some other threads mention unplugging and plugging this device back in. A reinitialize is enough for me, but this is quite annoying for everyone.

Does anyone have a solution or work around to this?

What can I tell you guys? This is killing my stream quality so hard.

Possibilities I can come up with include:

Focusrite Scarlett Driver not working with OBS
USB signal overload (Focusrite + C920)
CPU overload on computer
OBS running out of memory?

Anyone else run into this issue? I know other streamers that use Focusrite Scarletts 2i2s and 6i6s and they work fine.

Sometimes the audio cuts out when I am playing a simple game like Agar.io. Other times I am at maximum special effects on screen and the audio works fine.

Anyone out there have an idea?
