Ok, so my issue is a little weird, I've searched for this issue but doesn't seem to be common enough for forum posts.
So basically my issue is that I get small ping jumps that fluctuate while streaming regardless of the bitrate or resolution I set my settings at (within reason). I have done a few things such as tinkering with presets, trying CBR, disabling and enabling QoS, changing priority of the apps, using the low latency mode (what ever that actually does), I got slight improvement but still no dice on the issue being fixed.
I don't mind a small increase in ping while streaming, but I would highly prefer if there was a way to make it more constant instead of going between 50-100 on the fly constantly.
my net speed is:
5.5 mbps download
0.9 mbps upload
AMD phenom II x6 1055T processor 2.8 ghz
4 gig ram
nvidia GTx 560 Ti
Also back when I was living at home the upload speed was 1 mbps, not much difference, and I never had such issues. Not to mention I wasn't the only one using the internet in the house but I'm living by myself so there is no way of other people causing this issue
EDIT: I am also with the same provider as I was back at home (iinet Australia)
Any suggestions?
